Project Overview: As a volunteer for AERO, Mahindra University’s flagship cultural and technical fest, I contributed to the behind-the-scenes operations that made the event successful. The role involved hands-on experience in event logistics, food stall management, and cross-team coordination, offering a dynamic learning environment in a fast-paced festival setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Helped with setting up event infrastructure, including layout planning and material movement.

  • Managed food stalls, coordinated vendor logistics, ensured cleanliness and order, and supported crowd flow during peak times.

  • Acted as a liaison between organizing teams, participants, and vendors to resolve last-minute issues and ensure smooth operations.

  • Supported on-ground communications and assisted with real-time problem-solving during live events.

Key Learnings:

  • Real-world event management requires adaptability, communication, and initiative.

  • Coordinating between multiple stakeholders under pressure builds leadership and trust.

  • Ground-level volunteering enhances problem-solving and teamwork skills in action-heavy environments.
